Natural remedies are not all always safe. First, there are some poisonous plants. Second, there are plants that can heal an organ or a disease, while being destructive for another organ, often the liver, the kidneys, sometimes the heart. This was the case, in particular, of some Asian remedies advocating a quick weight loss, which proved to be as efficient, as dangerous for health. Of course, avoid putting everything in the same lot, but caution is necessary. Before taking anything, it is better to be well informed. Third, some plants, although beneficial on many levels, can reduce or even stop the person's fertility, while this person may be unaware of it. Some (this is the cas of some plants commonly used without a prescription), on the contrary, make contraceptives ineffective, which is also important to know before taking them. Some herbs may interact with medications, as for example, with anticoagulants, and should be avoided during menstruation, surgery, or when taking other medications with either an anticoagulant or a blood clotting effect. In short, naturopathy is more complex than it appears and requires in-depth knowledge.
